Alpha Phi Sigma is the national honor society for students enrolled in accredited criminal justice and security programs. The society recognizes scholastic excellence by undergraduate and graduate students in the criminal justice sciences. Eta Theta is the University of Phoenix chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma.
Mission Statement
The mission of Alpha Phi Sigma is to promote critical thinking, rigorous scholarship and life-long learning; to keep abreast of the advances in scientific research, to elevate the ethical standards of the criminal justice professions and to sustain in the public mind the benefit and necessity of education and professional training.

Eligibility
Students can become a member of Eta Theta if they are enrolled in a criminal justice degree program at University of Phoenix and meet both the Alpha Phi Sigma and Eta Theta membership requirements. Based on the University of Phoenix's eligibility review, students will be personally invited to submit an application to become a member of Eta Theta.
