About our Nursing Programs

One of the largest providers of professional nursing programs, the College of Health and Human Services at University of Phoenix enables registered nurses and licensed practical or vocational nurses to earn their undergraduate nursing degrees conveniently and efficiently. The College also has a wide variety of graduate nursing programs, including degree programs for nurse practitioners, nurses interested in teaching, and nurses interested in health care and business management.

Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Importantly, our nursing programs also are on the leading edge of the nursing profession. Learning incorporates not only innovative education technology, but also the latest techniques and theories.

For example, in the RN to BSN program Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring is presented. Dr. Watson's work is based on the philosophy and theory of human caring and the art and science of caring in nursing. Dr. Watson's caring philosophy is used to guide students in a model of caring and healing practices in diverse settings.

Ranging from certificate programs to CCNE-accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs, our educational opportunities are developed in collaboration with academic and nursing professionals—to ensure relevance, rigor and quality.

Additionally, our programs are taught by faculty members with advanced degrees and substantial nursing experience. These faculty members focus on facilitating instruction rather than providing passive lectures. They are dedicated to providing a quality education and helping you achieve your educational goals.

As part of the University of Phoenix educational approach, your learning experience also will focus on problem-solving, active participation and teamwork. Depending upon the nursing program you select, your learning also will including a practicum or clinical component.

Together, this ensures that you earn a highly relevant degree—and sooner than you may think.
